Mary Parks Lamb, MD

When asked why Dr. Lamb was drawn to family medicine she will tell you that she values the long term relationships she is able to develop and feels passionate about getting to know and care for individuals and families. She inspires patients to live their best lives by striving to improve their health. Nothing brings her more fulfillment than working with patients to feel their best, both inside and out.

Mary Parks Lamb, MD grew up in a military family, moving often but spending most of her childhood in the Washington, DC area. She studied at Princeton University before earning her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Lamb then completed her residency at UPMC St. Margaret and has called Pittsburgh home ever since. For more than 20 years, she has thrived in family medicine while also receiving advanced training in aesthetics.

Dr. Lamb was drawn to family medicine because of the meaningful, long-term relationships she builds with her patients. She is passionate about getting to know and caring for individuals and families, inspiring them to live their healthiest lives. Nothing brings her more fulfillment than helping patients feel their best—inside and out.

In 2015, Dr. Lamb’s sister, Susan, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. This experience deeply shaped her outlook and made her realize that the traditional medical and insurance model limited her ability to care for patients the way she envisioned. Out of this came the creation of Lamb Medical & Aesthetics in 2016, founded in honor of Susan Parks Hower.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Lamb enjoys spending time with her husband and three sons, often playing sports or cheering on all things hockey. In the summer, you’ll find her following the Dave Matthews Band, boating on Cheat Lake, or vacationing on her beloved Nantucket Island.
