Laser Nail Fungus Treatment

Onychomycosis

Toenail fungus, known as onychomycosis, is an extremely common condition. It is estimated that 1 in 5 people have toenail fungus but often, due to embarrassment, people don’t like to talk about it. At Lamb Medical & Aesthetics we understand how frustrating onychomycosis can be and how tricky can be to treat.

What are the symptoms of nail fungus?

  • Thickened nails
  • Yellowing of nails
  • Brittle/ deformed appearing nails
  • White lines or patches in the nail
  • Nail lifting away from the nail bed

Will laser help me treat onychomycosis?

Yes! For a long time the only treatment for nail fungus was a daily pill (for 3+ months) that was rough on your system or a daily nail polish that was messy and often expensive and ineffective.

Laser treatments for nail fungus are quick, easy, and effective.

How long will this take?

Fungus loves warm and moist areas making feet one of its favorite locations. For that reason, when you have fungus on one or more toes, it easily spreads to other nails as well. Thus, we typically advise treating all of your toes. We can treat all toes in about 15 minutes.

When will I notice results?

Fungus is stubborn and toe nails grow slow. You will likely not notice any improvement for 3+ months as it takes that amount of time to see nail regrowth.

How long will my results last?

Once the fungus is treated, it should stay away unless it infects the nail again. Removing sources of fungus in your shoes helps prevent recurrence.

Are there any side effects?

Laser genesis is a very safe treatment and overall if has very few potential side effects. The most common side effect is a warm feeling at the time of the treatment. There is no downtime and you can go about your day immediately after having your treatment.
